Step3 Entertainment and ONE LOVE AWARENESS PROJECT Come Together.

I have been talking with George Walsh of Step3 Entertainment that has been working along side the Trevor Project.  The Trevor Project, the nation’s around the clock telephone lifeline that focuses on suicide and crisis intervention for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Questioning youth.  We have been in contact for the past couple of days and I am fully on board with this project to make a difference in aiding our youths and letting them know that there is an alternative than choosing to end life!!!  We both see that our work together can coincide and help our youths and adults in and around the GBLT Community to see that there is something bigger and better on the other side of bullying and discrimination.  You should be who you want to be and let no one tell you different!  George wanted to write a song that spoke of equality for all youth in our schools after he heard of another kid being bullied for being gay.  He took the steps to develope the Indigo CD in collaboration with several artist to help put a stop to this crisis!  I am along side this project to help make a difference and change prospective.  Join me and take a stand for what you believe in and show your support to make a change together!  Here is a link to the Indigo CD and also a YouTube of George Walsh from Step3 Entertainment! Go Check it Out...

Let everyone know what you are thinking......

Hello Everyone,

Nick Gray here, wanting to let all of you know that your opinions matter!!!  Let everyone know what you are thinking about when it comes to the issues of discrimination!  Let your voice be heard!  Tell us a story about maybe something that might have happened to you in the past and how you fought to overcome stigmas that others has set on you.  Or if you are looking for insight on these issues, or wanting to share insight, feel free to speak your mind on all views.  This is an open forum, the only way to overcome hate as in the thoughts that Jimmy Hendrix once expressed is "Knowledge is a fact but wisdom is listening and applying!"  Looking forward to hearing all of your insights on the topic of this issue.....

Let's make it happen!!!!

ONE LOVE AWARENESS PROJECT

“ONE LOVE Awareness Project”

Whether you are gay, str8, bisexual, transgender, positive or negative, we are united together as one. We must learn from one another through the good times and bad and bring awareness to all types of discrimination the may effect our community. Someone once told me that knowledge is a fact but wisdom is listening, learning and applying it! We must live, unite and rally together as one! This is the ONE LOVE Awareness Project!

I decided to start this campaign because of situations I have encountered in my life. Where I have heard that people can’t be around each other because of race, gender, status or social standings. I want to change people’s perceptions and opinions about situations and encourage them to learn about people before they learn of the stigma. People tend to judge others because they don’t have the knowledge and have not done the research into what they may not understand. Being a gay black man in America, I am judged because of the color of my skin, being gay and whatever other thoughts they may have about me. I will be the first to prove to someone that I am an outgoing individual with morals and appreciation for everyone! I am willing to learn about someone before taking them at just face value.

As the new MR. Continental 2011, I have the platform to make a difference in my community and I want to extend this movement to everyone that will like to take the lead and be involved in this endeavor. It comes as a surprise to me that artists and musicians come up with so much inspirational thoughts and concepts about life and the way we live it! The arts is a universal language where we all learn and understand each other no matter where we are from! I am encouraging everyone to see each other for who we really are, not for who we think we are. It is great to have the title of MR. Continental, the platform to doing whatever you feel with it as you choose. I choose to make a difference, bring awareness, enlighten people through the arts and to help many achieve what others said is impossible! Time for change!

I would like the support of as many organizations as possible that will be able to come together and make a difference, to see if the impossible can be possible. I am one man, but with others, it will grow to millions. So let’s take a stand and fight for loving everyone, no matter who we are, together!
